Meet the Principal

principal

Dear Creekside Oaks Families,

My name is Bruce Hamilton, and I am delighted to be a part of the Creekside Oaks family and serve as your new principal. The Creekside Oaks community is characterized by dedicated, talented people committed to doing what is in the best interest of our students. We will continue to put the students first at Creekside Oaks to ensure that all of our Hawks SOAR.

My professional background is rooted in education, leadership, and teaching. For the past 27 years, I have worked in public education as a leader, Intervention/ MTSS specialist in grades K-12, mentor teacher, master teacher and teacher in grades second through eighth. This is my second year working in the Sacramento area and my seventh as an administrator. I have spent a great deal of time in this area, having family in the area for 28 years. I look forward to using my collective experiences as your new principal. I am committed to embracing the positive traditions and practices that are already in place at Creekside Oaks while working diligently to ensure success for the future. My motto is, "Students First, Every Day," and I believe all children should receive an exemplary education in an environment that is safe and conducive to learning. Together we can help our children excel and provide them with an education that is second to none.

In addition to my professional achievements, my greatest accomplishment is my family. I am a husband to my loving, supportive wife, Rubie, who is also an educator and a father of two amazing daughters, Kayla and Danielle.  My eldest, Kayla, is a police officer in Virginia. Danielle is pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Plasma Physics at the University of Rochester.  I am also a Dog Father to three large labradors, Jackson, Sirius Black, and Yogi.  As a parent, I always want what is best for my children and will work tirelessly to ensure your children have the best possible experiences at Creekside.

My door is always open to you and I sincerely welcome your input, thoughts and questions and hope to earn your trust. I am excited about all we will accomplish together for our children and look forward to celebrating our collective success this school year.

Thank you,

Bruce Hamilton
